Skipping Work at Zion's National Park

Here are a few pics from our mini vacation @ Zion's National Park- a very much needed getaway. We were fortunate to be able to take Emery with us, too. She was so much fun- just ask Carson! She screamed at him every time he opened his mouth :) Madison and Jake were also able to make it up from AZ- yeah! We missed Rory and Rebecca again- boo! One of these times, we'll all get together to get a family pic. I think we all had a great time though, just wish it could have lasted longer...

Another year older and wiser too.... no, just older, me thinks, but I still have enough umph to blow out one candle! Got some great gifts, and a couple of dead presidents even showed up in some cards; Grant and JJJJJJackson (right size, right color). It was a wonderful birthday weekend though, all the kids were here 'cept Madison and Jake :(, but they did sing me the sweetest happy birthday wish over the phone. Birthday dinner consisted of: ribs, salt potatoes, cauliflower, broccoli, and for the birthday cake: hot-milk cake with raspberry/blackberry compote, topped with whipped cream and powdered sugar... oh, to die for! So wish you could have joined me for a bite.

A Flower Amongst the Flowers

Yesterday was such a nice day, and Emery wanted to be outside all the time. She really enjoyed the flowers... and we finally got her to stop eating them.

Muse

Brenda and I thought it would be a good idea to have some bonding time the the 2 boys at home, Taylor and Carson. So for Christmas, we bought tickets to Muse, which was coming April 5th. To tell you the truth, I wasn't to excited about it. So, for about 3.5 months I listened to Muse every once in a while. Let me tell you, that was a very good show- I would go see them again.... and I'd even take the boys too :)

Carson's Birthday

Carson has reached 15 years old... we can't believe it either- he's very lucky :)
